Cody Drake — CEO
Growing up working for his father’s logging company and sawmill, you can really say Cody has grown up in the lumber industry. Cody co-founded Ochoco West in 2005 with his longtime friend and mentor Alan Pladsen. When he is not in the office you can usually find him in the mountains hunting or on the river jet boating.
Alex Pladsen — President
Alex began his career in the building materials industry in 2015, following his father and company founder Alan Pladsen’s footsteps. Starting in a sales role, Alex became co-owner after Alan’s retirement at the end of 2024. In addition to being a lumberman, he enjoys snowboarding, biking and spending time with his wife and two kids.
Morgan Hicks — Controller
Morgan has over 25 years of accounting and finance experience in the building supplies industry and has been at Ochoco West since 2016. When he’s not working, Morgan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, golfing, fishing, and bird hunting.
Luc Chaney — VP Purchasing and Logistics
Luc, an Idaho native, was brought into the Ochoco West family in 2019 by a close family friend. He later took over purchasing and logistics from the company founder following his retirement at the end of 2024. In his free time, Luc is an avid outdoorsman, who enjoys hunting, fishing, and skiing, and most importantly, spending quality time with his wife and three daughters.
Nate Shawcroft — Sales Representative
Nate began his lumber career in 1979. He joined the staff at Ochoco West in early 2018. Nate has been a supplier and trusted adviser to contractors and developers on projects from Montana to New Mexico, Colorado to the West Coast. Away from work he likes to fish, hunt, and spend time with his wife and their two dogs.
Terry Deck — Purchasing & Logistics Representative
Terry has been working in the lumber business since 1992 and recently came aboard at Ochoco West in February of 2025. He has worked with many construction professionals all over the country and is extremely knowledgeable and resourceful. He enjoys spending his free time with family & friends and loves golf, fishing & skiing.
Jordan Deck — Sales Representative
Jordan began working in the construction industry in 2019. He moved into the lumber business at Ochoco West in January of 2025. His ability to connect with people and his overall positive attitude are what make him a great fit for building materials industry. He loves spending time with family and friends, enjoys golfing and fishing, as well as collecting and shooting firearms.
Dustin Stevenson – Sales Representative
Dustin has worked in the lumber business since 2002. After 22 years at a lumber mill, he joined Ochoco West in 2024. Outside of work he enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. Dustin is also the proud father of his two daughters.
Frank M. Stoppello – Sales Representative
For the last 12 years Frank has supported contractors achieve their goals through his industry knowledge and relationships. Frank is a very proud 4th generation Idahoan. As a U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, he learned the values of integrity, teamwork, and hard work. When he is not working on the next project you will find Frank on the golf course, fishing, hunting, or spending time with is 2 daughters.
Brad Kirkland – Purchasing & Logistics Representative
Brad entered the lumber industry in 2022 following a successful career as an Operations Manager for a large commercial tire company. He joined Ochoco in March 2026. Brad is deeply committed to supporting his colleagues and customers, delivering exceptional service every day. He believes that success is earned through hard work and dedication, not given. Outside of work, Brad enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. As an avid outdoorsman, he can often be found in the mountains pursuing western big game or chasing upland birds with his German Shorthaired Pointers.
Carson Drake – Purchasing & Logistics Assistant
Carson is currently studying Business Management at the University of Idaho and is eager to launch his career in the lumber industry. An Idaho native, his drive in the office is matched by his passion for the outdoors. When he isn’t working, you’ll find him hunting, fishing, camping, or out on the river.
Britt Tromburg — Administrative Supervisor
Britt is a proud mother of 5 who has been in the lumber industry since 2002, and with Ochoco West since 2017. She now works alongside her oldest daughter, proving that lumber really does run in the family.
In the summer, you’ll find her outdoors, BBQing or soaking up the sun and in the winter, she trades sunscreen for sweatpants and enjoys reading, puzzles, and highly competitive family game nights.
Jessyka Kline — AP/AR Administrator
Jessyka is a proud mother of two and the AP/AR specialist at Ochoco West LLC, where she’s been making her mark since 2021. She works alongside her mom, proving that family business doesn’t have to mean family drama (most days).
When she’s not balancing numbers, you can catch Jessyka cheering on her favorite hockey team, getting lost in a good book, or scribbling down her latest writing ideas.
